color study to mix paints
Water Media 1: The purpose of this color study is to help the painter get used to the materials. It takes a surprising amount of time, planning and concentration to make a good set of color mixes, even if the final product is rendered with a comfortrable level of "perfection". Why is this a good example of a color study? Because it is well labeled, the mixes look like and expirement carefully placed, and somehow this piece has a subtle sense of harmony.
